I wouldn't use the word deadline, there is never a reason not to drink tea or catch up later, but we will discuss our experiences on August 30th. Is that an appropriate amount of time?

I'd call them themes. Anyway, I don't know if I'll get around to this, but I'll try. Right now all the tea ingredients I have are jasmine green tea bags, hot water, milk & sugar, lol. Some of the spices sound awesome though. :D
From what I read (from the second link, I think) it is possible to do it with jasmine tea although for more classical one simple black tea would be better. I'm not sure if pepper for example would go with green tea. Cardamom, cinnamon and nutmeg maybe? I'm sure you could find a recipe with jasmine tea if you don't feel like buying or borrowing black.
